Extended Spectrum

The GC-FOLD basically uses the same proven spectrum and technology as the successful seriesX. The main difference is the use of UV radiation.

The seriesX was developed and optimized for hobby gardeners. The UV radiation is permanently on and improves resin production in the plant. At the same time, however, the radiation is not intense enough to cause damage to the plant.

In contrast, the GC-FOLD has so much UV radiation that permanent illumination at this intensity would almost certainly lead to damage. Therefore, the user must either reduce the intensity or (ideally) illuminate at full intensity for a short period of time. Instead of permanent but gentle UV illumination, the GC-FOLD (in combination with the GC-SIGNAL) can run UV shock programs. This high dose UV illumination over a short period of time gives the best results. The full potential of UV illumination can be exploited with this technology. The user can determine the number, duration and intensity of the shocks and adjust them precisely to the respective genetics.

The correct use of the UV potential of this lamp leads to absolutely optimal results and gets the maximum quality out of each genetics. It also shortens the flowering time.

Incorrect use of this lamp can lead to damage and jeopardize the harvest result and the health of the plants.

GC-FOLD

The GC-FOLD was specially developed for larger systems (medical manufacturers and CSCs).

Please understand that we can only offer support for major customers - and even then only to a limited extent. The gardener on site is always responsible for correct use.

The control unit (GC-SIGNAL) not only controls the UV radiation but also simulates a real sunrise and sunset with Far-Red afterglow. Here too, the duration and intensity can be set by the gardener. One GC-SIGNAL controls up to 400 lamps.
